About Candelaria
Candelaria has a beach consisting of coarse black volcanic sand and is located to the east. Not recommended for swimming!
Dating back to 1830, the town is dominated by the huge Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria.
There are farmlands in the valley areas and in the mountains with grasslands and some forests to the west.
