Drago Milenario – The Dragon Tree

Drago Milenario is a famous dragon tree located in Parque del Drago, Icod de los Vinos, Northern Tenerife. Many people believe the tree is thousands of years old and it was declared a national monument in 1917.

The tree is around 17 meters tall and the bottom of the trunk has a perimeter of about 20 meters. It is estimated that the roots of the tree weigh 80 tons and that the trunk weighs 60 making it a real monster of a tree.
